Workshop: Reflecting Back as We Rebuild the Future after Fires - Cancelled

$12 Adult; $5 Youth

Saturday, Jan 25, 2020 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Workshop is at Chico Masonic Family Center (Map)

The Northstate has been severely impacted in recent years by wildfires. This presentation will begin with a quick slide show followed by a short discussion of rebuilding processes and of landscapes that make a comeback after the fires. Next, we will view the short film, Firewise: The Scientists Speak, which will weave the personal accounts and findings of leading fire scientists and firefighters who work to provide fire-safe communities while understanding the high value of backcountry wildfire, and working to protect the backcountry. This will also be followed by questions, answers, and a discussion.
