A true adventure trip, lots of driving and hiking A true adventure trip, lots of driving and hiking

Description

Come one, come all for this fast-paced adventure through Yuba County where we will try to tally as many species as possible from sunrise to sunset! We will be traveling through rice fields and rolling hills, as well as stopping by sewage ponds. We'll begin in the rice fields as we drive from Ramirez Rd. to Fruitland Rd. and then Iowa City Rd. up to Loma Rica and then Collins Lake. We'll then drive down into Browns Valley and take Hwy 20 back into Marysville to check out the Marysville sewage ponds. We'll expect to see a wide variety of waterfowl including swans, geese, ducks, wading birds, shorebirds, and rails and tally 75-80 or more species on this fun adventure! Bring lunch, water, and binoculars. We will be eating on the run (or in the car) since we all want to see as many birds as possible! Carpooling is mandatory to keep the number of vehicles to a minimum. No early departures on this trip.
