Description

Historic wagon ruts, 100-year-old rock walls, and Acorn Woodpeckers - Old Humbolt Road has them all. Bird this historic 3-mile road while walking alongside oak woodlands, grasslands, and canyons where many bird species live, hunt, nest, and roost. We will start our trek downhill from the starting point off Highway 32, leaving cars at the end to shuttle back up to the starting point. Bring snacks, water, and binoculars, and sturdy walking shoes. Carpooling strongly encouraged.
