Meet at Feather River Fish Hatchery (Map)
Walking, could involve distance but largely flat
Meet at the Feather River Fish Hatchery - Under the Green Bridge. We will take a slow river paddle down the riparian corridor to Bed Rock Park. A van shuttle will return participants to the launch site immediately after the tour ends. We will be on the water from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm, with experienced guides who are familiar with the abundant and diverse wildlife. This ecological tour will educate boaters on safe boating practices and the ecology of the area. Time will be spent at the take out for a walk on the river edge habitat and slough that is rich in bird and aquatic life. There are 15 seats available in either a single or tandem sit-on-top kayaks. Guests will be provided with all boating equipment and fundamental paddling instruction for novice to experienced. Guests are advised to bring appropriately warm and waterproof clothing, snacks, water and binoculars. RAIN CANCELS
